Antunovich Associates DC Office
Location:Washington, DC
The office is laid out in an L-shape which sets up two distinct zones of activity. The shorter leg of the L includes more of the social and public areas of the office: the kitchen, a pantry, an eating area with a large dining table, and several flexible meeting and seating areas. This front “living room” opens onto Third Street and connects activity within the office to the pedestrian experience outside of the office. The large conference room and the reception desk area divide this front space from the longer leg of the L which contains the studio. Large windows on the west side of the room allow ample natural light into the office and look onto a courtyard one floor below used by neighboring retailer REI.
The north end of the studio space is bound by a large print room and a mid-sized conference room. To the south, a small conference room, two phone booths, and an open seating area provide a variety of settings for calls and meetings.
The material library has ample storage space for samples and catalogs in addition to countertop space for display and discussion.
A restrained palette of light wood tones and black accent walls compliments the exposed mechanical systems and polished concrete floors for an overall look that is both industrial in style and warm in feeling.
The office can take full advantage of all of the amenities the Uline Arena has to offer.
With the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station located a block away and Union Station less than a mile, the new home of Antunovich Associates DC is positioned well in the city for engagement and growth.
